ANGOLO DIVINO Bed and breakfast Loreto, Ancona
Andrea and Silvia are the young and friendly owners of Angolo Divino, a brand new guest house in the heart of Loreto, a few steps from the Basilica, which I found recently on the web. I have the pleasure of meeting Andrea on a cold December morning in a restored building which accommodates in the best way guests from all over the world. The Angolo Divino welcomes me in a modern, nice and functional context, with a warm Christmas atmosphere that diffuses in the air. The rooms are of different types in order to accommodates single travellers, couples and families. They are spotless and bright, a pleasant minimalist style and very comfortable : air-conditioning, TV, WI-FI and ensuite bathrooms.
On the ground floor, there is a room adapted for people with disabilities or reduced mobility, as well as the room where breakfast is served. The kitchen is available for guests who need to prepare a meal by themselves. (Dear Mothers, you will not have difficulty with the meals of your little children!) I like the soothing colours used for the furniture, and the details are perfectly in tune with the feel of the Angolo Divino. On a piece of furniture in the entrance, a blue plaque peeps out in full view, of a famous booking company, testimony to the great reviews it has received : I am definitely not the only one to appreciate this lovely little place. In the lovely grey and white breakfast room, Andrea tells me of her passion for hospitality and love for her homeland, which can offer so much, in each period of the year. The proof is in its varied clientele : in summer tourists come looking for the sea and with the most competitive prices, they choose this location rather than the coast (Loreto is a few km away from the Riviera del Conero and from Porto Recanati). In the low season there are medieval villages to be discovered, lots of culture and the wine and food to attract Italians and foreign travellers, for brief weekends but also for longer holidays during which they discover more of Le Marche. There is another kind of tourism here that knows no season : throughout the year, pilgrims from all over the world arrive at Loreto for the “culto mariano”. As many people know, the sanctuary, is extremely close to the b&b, inside of which is located the House of Nazareth which legend says was transported by angels to the Marche. Religious or not, if you are in the area, it is a “must” to visit the beautiful church of which almost has a surreal atmosphere. It represents one of the most important gothic-renaissance monuments of Italy. A really impressive dome which characterizes the view of Loreto, the walkways and the square outside. In short, Angolo Divino is a good base for a holiday in the heart of Le Marche, and by the way, with an excellent quality/price ratio. What are you waiting for?
